Uses: 1) It can be used as a flavoring agent, JECFA: 861, flavor number: 3398. 2) Density/specific gravity balance agent for flavors. 3) Plasticizer and adhesive for polymer coatings used to package dry food (in direct contact with food). 4) Used as a plasticizer for heat-sealing film polymers for plastic packaging, laminated optical disc polymers, polyvinylidene fluoride soft plastic tubes, organic photosensitive conductors, nail polish, hot-adhesive labels, flexible polyester films and hot melt adhesives, moisture-curing sealants, inks and topcoats. 5) Tackifier for thermal transfer of ceramic printing glaze. 6) Binder for anhydrous dyes. 7) Crystallization accelerator for polyester casting injection. 8) Organic melt viscosity modifier. 9) Solvent for chemiluminescent activators.
