Cyclohexanol is an important chemical raw material, mainly used in the production of adipic acid, hexamethylenediamine and caprolactam. It can also be used as a stabilizer for soap, to manufacture disinfectant soaps and descaling emulsions, and for rubber, Chemicalbook solvents for resins, metal soaps, oils, esters, and ethers, admixtures for paint, leather degreasing agents, release agents, dry cleaning agents, and polishing agents. Cyclohexanol is also a raw material for fiber finishing agents, pesticides, and plasticizers. Cyclohexanol reacts with phosgene to obtain cyclohexyl chloroformate, which is the intermediate of the initiator dicyclohexyl peroxydicarbonate.
